What is Forged Cookware?
Forged cookware is made by pressing aluminium under high pressure into a mould, creating a pan with a thicker, denser base than standard pressed or stamped aluminium pans. This forging process results in a pan that is stronger, more warp-resistant, and better at distributing heat evenly across the cooking surface. A forged base is less likely to develop hot spots — the uneven heat that causes food to burn in one area while remaining undercooked in another. For everyday frying, a forged pan is a significant step up from a thin, lightweight pressed pan.
